Design Director Brand Expression - Performance (x5) (m/f/d)

Develop and direct industry leading creative solutions, to create a highly relevant, desirable and clear brand image for BU, from sell-in (internal) to sell-out (consumer-facing). Lead and manage the internal creative teams to achieve world class results. There are five open Design Director roles, one for each of the five specialisms under the Performance label: Running, Football, Outdoor, Specialist Sports and Training. Lead the Creative development for the BU category, across multiple consumer touchpoints, from 2D to retail to digital and moving image. Develop concepts and creative strategies that fulfil objectives of category, concept and brief and fulfil the BU brand vision. Advise / Support Comms / BU / CD Partners on the creative interpretation of project specific and strategic needs while guiding the implementation of the Brand Image Direction. Create and DriveCreative Community Culture – developing unique inspiration and learning experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional brand partners to ensure consumer- and brand focus. Set creative and assignment-related priorities for the team. Lead the execution of creative strategies to ensure end to end creative excellence, from sell-in to sellout (consumer-facing) Direct variety of creative resources (agencies, freelancers, writers, videographers, photographers, writers etc) on creative execution to ensure holistic creative excellence. Review and approve all stages of creative execution, both inhouse and from external partners. Maximise results within given budget and timeframes. Participate in creation of annual and long-term Creative Direction strategies, in support of the Senior Design Director. Present and communicate creative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to variety of stakeholders. Identify opportunities of improvement and change, and initiate own proposals/projects Act as a thought leader for the wider Brand Design team in the realm of creativity and brand building. Seek out new creative resources and platforms that can deliver world class results. Digital Creation E2E is a strategic board program under the digital umbrella building the must-have adidas creation infrastructure of the future. Implement company’s strategic business and systems direction into digital through product creation and technical infrastructure for footwear 3D within adidas. Manage the product operations process for assigned models and articles from seasonal kick off through to commercialization. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to provide effective transition from brief/design through to development “buy-ready” commercialisation, on time, within the agreed margin parameter and at the required quality standards. Manage product operations process for selected digital ranges at adidas transition into 100% digital creation end2end. Drive process, methodologies and technical information in collaboration with Marketing, Design, Horizontal Functions and T1 to ensure the completion of sampling and production of footwear through Digital software. Take accountability for the entire development management process for assigned category, Achieve article readiness according to milestones on time to achieve KPIs Consult and support engineering of design concepts into 3D creations and digital products. Increase the speed and efficiency of processes by eliminating non-value adding steps and aim to execute “Right the First Time” for the physical product Support the footwear team with technical solutions by analyzing designs for manufacturability, production and material properties, offering economic and efficient solutions to achieve cost targets. Collaborate with Sourcing to enable them to execute product demands and ensure construction meets adidas quality standards through 2D and/or 3D technical packs. Mentor new employees in technical product development by teaching them about adidas specific technical standards, processes and systems related to the Tech Pack creation Able to evaluate work processes and calendars for future improvements in close communication with Product Development, Materials. Testing, Marketing, Design & T1. Ensure target price and product designs are aligned through predictive costing.
