For the partner site of DKTK Dresden the German Cancer Research Center is seeking a PhD Student on the topic “Individualised preclinical radiotherapy in combination with systemic treatment”.For the partner site of DKTK Dresden the German Cancer Research Center is seeking a PhD Student on the topic “Individualised preclinical radiotherapy in combination with systemic treatment”.(Ref-No. 2020-0241)Perform preclinical in vivo experiments (preclinical trial) on irradiation with systemic drug application, where cell lines and drugs have been pre-selected by partners in high-throughput-assaysPerform in vitro experimentsPrepare and evaluate immunohistochemical sections or other parameters that help deciphering mechanistical questionsWorking in cooperation with partners: molecular radiobiology (in-house) and workgroups of the Massachusetts General Hospital BostonWriting of publications and data reports for the grant projectMaster/Diploma in biology, biotechnology, biomedicine or related fieldsKnowledge in tumor biology, tumor genesis or tissue homeostasis is desirableBasic skills in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and histological techniques as well as in vivo techniques would be advantageousA strong interest in translational studies on experimental tumors including readiness to perform in vivo experiments (FELASA B is a plus)Strong commitment, motivation and discipline to work independently and efficientlyStrong team player with the ability to succeed in a dynamic international environmentExcellent ability to communicate and write in EnglishApplications should include a CV, cover letter, certificates and the expected availability date.Interesting, versatile workplaceInternational, attractive working environmentCampus with modern state-of-the-art infrastructureAccess to international research networksDoctoral student payment including social benefitsFlexible working hoursComprehensive training and mentoring program through the Helmholtz International Graduate School
