Sales Representative (m/f/d) Northern Germany & the Netherlands

In Marburg we produce test strips for measuring instruments for the worldwide market with approx. 80 employees.As our new Sales Representative (m/f/d) Northern Germany & the Netherlands you'll manage and develop current customer accounts and develop new clients within budget constraints to achieve the highest possible return on sales costs spent, achieving a regional sales target that contributes to the overall corporate sales and strategic objectives. This position will report to the European Sales Manager Genomics. Your daily responsibilities will be: Meet or exceed sales targets for the Beckman Genomics products Develop close relationships with selected customers throughout the organization from procurement to key scientific staff and use this to develop strategies for customer development Strategically manage existing customers to help protect and develop the existing business Find opportunities for new products in Genomics Perform all sales activities within the assigned geographic territory, such as customer site visits, telephone calls, trade seminars and shows, customer seminars and channel management Create a detailed business plan and visit management activity aligned with company strategic targets for assigned customers and territories Gather market intelligence and report back to the Sales Manager and the respective peers in the organization Identify or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities Develop negotiation strategies and positions by studying the identified customer base; examining risk potentials estimating customer needs and goals Close new opportunities by coordinating requirements with the back office; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements as per Beckman Coulter and Danaher business practices Increase awareness of our product brands by organizing and attending exhibitions, seminars and other events and by conducting direct marketing initiatives alongside other promotional activities as required Regularly maintain and document all activities in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database effectively and strategic action plan for customers Control sales expenses and support achieving financial goals Qualifications: You need to be educated to a higher degree in Biology, Molecular Biology background preferred. A master's degree is an advantage Previous experience of technical selling within the Life Science, Industrial and/or Academic sector is a big plus Solid understanding of sales skills such as prospecting, qualifying, closing, and growing existing customers are strongly preferred Laboratory or process experiences are an advantage Experience in Next Generation Sequencing is highly desirable Skills: Being open to development and challenges, thrive under pressure, live for their critical metrics and are constantly striving to improve results comes to you naturally In collaboration with the local and global marketing teams, you are cooperative and at the same time versatile, empathetic and able to work independently We need a highly organized person with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities within demanding and tight timescales Excellent attention to detail, with high standards adopted at all times comes to you naturally You are ambitioned – you embrace and thrive on challenge!
