We are dedicated to the development of novel products employing microscopy and/or image analysis technology for the advancement of cell biology research and drug discovery.Yokogawa Germany is looking for anImaging Application Scientist (m/f/d) for our Life Innovation Business to join us at the earliest possible opportunityDevelop a strong, working knowledge of our high content imaging products and scientific applications. Assist high content sales representatives which includes scientific presentations and demonstrations of our high content systems and software.Provide advanced training, application support and knowledge for the sales representatives and customersBe able to solve customer’s application issues and provide this information back to the entire team. Work closely with product managers, marketing, application, and sales teams to develop and maintain pre-sales and post-sales presentation and training materialKeep up to date on advances in hardware, software, applications and new technology in miscroscopy and high content imaging. Provide feedback to the product teams for future product developmentAttend and present data at tradeshows as requestedResponsible for assisting in lead generation for high content imaging accounts and customersBachelor Education in Biology or Life Science Field or relevant experience as an Imaging Application Scientist, Master, or Ph.D. desirable Fluent German and English language skills are required (other languages are an advantage)5+ years’ experience working in the bioresearch capital equipment; particularly in a technical support roleExperience with advanced fluorescence, laser confocal applications, and high-content screeningKnowledge of image analysis in microscopy for high-content cell-based assaysExperience in providing training and technical support for scientific equipment and applicationsHigh willingness to travel and stay overnight (30-40% travel activity) mainly in EuropeAbility to advocate and realize objectives; pioneer mentalitySelf-motivated character able to work alone and within a fast-paced team environmentVery good communication and interpersonal skillsInnovative, future oriented, fast growing business unit within a well-settled companyPossibility to work from home (Home Office)Plenty of creative leeway and exciting challenges that demand a high degree of individual responsibilityA dynamic expanding team of national and international colleaguesCompany car also for private use
