Metabolon GmbH is seeking a Commercial Operations Specialist to become an integral member of its International Business Team supporting the Company’s rapidly growing International business. The role is based in our brand-new International Headquarters in Hallbergmoos, Bavaria, Germany.As our Commercial Operations Specialist, you will become a crucial member of our team by driving value to our business in three client-centric ways. First, by supporting internal pre-deal activities, mainly through our Salesforce quoting system, to enable and protect Metabolon’s business interests, while also coaching the sales team on best practices. Second, by managing and exceeding client expectations around all aspects of their contracted project(s): from quote execution over project management to delivery and invoicing. Third, by becoming a customer advocate through proficient communication by phone and email queries, as well as by executing sales, credit, and sample orders for Metabolon. The Commerical Operations Specialist will report directly to the International Commercial Operations Director with a dotted line report to the Global Commercial Operations Director. Order creation and processing Support sales team on inquiries and/or questions relating to contract creation, approvals, and bookings Govern the delegation of authority process for internal approvals and obtain final sign off Ensure deal conformity through verifying various contract terms for the global sales team Process sales orders at close ensure all relevant information is attached for project fulfillment work to begin Project monitoring and prioritization: Maintain active list of in-process projects including with projected milestones and promised delivery dates Communicate with clients upon booking a project to streamline the sample submission process Serve as primary point of contact for clients and the sales team Keep selling organization updated regarding project timelines Interface between customers and different operational units Customer advocacy and guidance: Communicate directly with both international and US clients to ensure timely shipment of samples Clearly communicate customer expectations internally about turnaround times and contracted deliverables Communicate directly with clients at an appropriate cadence throughout the life of the project to create a positive client experience Facilitate communications between clients and internal stakeholders as appropriate ESSENTIAL You must have a degree or 2 – 3 years of work experience in life sciences. You must have full proficiency of German and English. You must be able to work from our Hallbergmoos office. You must have at least 2-3 years of Commercial / Sales Operations experience, more specifically in client-facing roles (such as client success, clinical research organization, project specialist, or equivalent experience) in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry You must be always and foremost focused on customer’s needs and service-minded HIGHLY DESIRABLE Project Management Professional (PMP) certification Familiarity with the requirements of a Service business that conducts and delivers scientific studies to highly educated clients Adapt quickly and navigate nimbly in a matrix organization to build strong and effective working relationships with internal business units Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and high-growth environment with the ability to switch your work styles between multi-tasking to laser sharp focus Strong organizational skills Experience with salesforce.com, Conga composer.
