Overseeing 700+ bank guarantee contracts and 350+ sureties, you will be instrumental in providing professional advice to a cluster of ten countries as part of contractual negotiations relating to export sales as well as in the context of post-sales transactions. Location: Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany Job Type: Full-Time Job Reference Code: DE74932981 Oversee portfolio of trade finance instruments and provide expert advice during and subsequent to negotiations relating to export sales contracts Contribute to risk mitigation when non-standard instruments are requested and drive standardization of instrument wording by means of suitable templates Act as first point of escalation for business users, oversee KPI reporting, manage SOX-related controls, and provide appropriate training Co-approve requests for bank guarantees, maintain portfolio of bank guarantees, handle Bolero messages, and assign export LCs to relevant recipients Contribute to strategic planning, provide budgeting support, manage bank relationships (e.g. lines of credit), and oversee banking fees Use and support development of Trade Finance Link, act as Local Power User, handle statistics relating to bank performance, and contribute to reporting Deal with all aspects of short-term trade finance, including commercial viability checks, support during negotiations, and advice relating to execution University degree in Finance, Banking, Treasury Management, or similar discipline 7 – 10 years’ experience in Trade Finance, including administration and advisory services relating to guarantees and letters of credit Sound understanding and hands-on experience regarding URDG, UCP, and other relevant industry standards Certification relating to trade finance instruments (e.g., CSDG, CITF, CTFP) considered advantageous Professionalism, integrity, proactive approach to business, and finely honed communication skills Fluent command of English and German, both written and spoken, as well as cultural awareness
