Role Summary The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is responsible for designing the software components (detailed design), codes the software components and tests the software components based on the software architecture and the software requirements within a project.Key Responsibilities Lead technically development activities of Radar software components from software requirements, detailed design, construction, unit test to software test Development (design, implement, test and debug) of software components on general purpose processing cores and acceleration cores like DSPs Define functional and non-functional (performance) software requirements for Radar software components Document software component structures in Enterprise Architect Verify software components at bench level Integrate Radar software components into overall Radar software package Assist recoding team in acquiring necessary engineering and verification data Represent Radar embedding technical and progress-wise to management and customer Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE/CMMi based Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) Key Qualifications/Requirements Master's degree in Computer Engineering/ Systems, Electrical or Computer Science Engineering (Master's preferred) 6+ years' relevant product and or technology experience regarding the Responsibility/ Activities (listed above) for automotive electronics serial development projects (mandatory) Significant experience in Automotive Customer Projects Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ for 16 bit and 32 bit micro-controllers including application and low level drivers for multiple micro-controllers such as PPC microcontrollers, ARM Core, or DSP Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field Understanding about Radar system (FMCW and PMCW) and Radar signal processing (etc. beam forming, CFAR, etc.) Understanding about systematic Radar artefacts like multipath, ghost reflections, micro doppler, etc. Proficient experience with CAN based tools such as CANalyxer, CANoe or CANape Proficient knowledge in ADTF and ROS/ROS2 environment Knowledge in Mathworks based tools (Matlab, Simulink) Knowledge in Python scripting language Working knowledge in development of portable, reusable and modular software in automotive environment. Role Summary The Senior Algorithms Engineer (Radar Detection Processing) is responsible for development of state-of-the-art Radar based detection processing algorithms to filter, cluster and detect relevant content form the Radar's raw data stream. The demand is to keep following algorithmic stages like object tracker and free space algorithms free of unnecessary content and increase the overall performance of the Radar sensor system to a competitive level.Key Responsibilities Lead technically the development of Radar detection processing software components Lead technically the development of Radar sensor model to simulate Sensor performance Define functional and non-functional (performance) requirements for detection algorithms in line with the needs of following algorithm stages Develop a Sensor Simulation Model for the Radar system Document algorithm component structures in Enterprise Architect Develop (design, implement, debug and test) of Radar detection algorithms to filter and cluster Radar raw detections Verify algorithms at component and bench level Assess Radar system performance together with system test team Assist recoding team in acquiring necessary engineering and verification data Represent Radar detection processing technical and progress-wise to management and customer Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE/CMMi based Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) Support rest of the functional disciplines with all aspects related to algorithms Key Qualifications/Requirements Master's degree in Computer Engineering/ Systems, Electrical or Computer Science Engineering (Master's preferred) 6+ years' relevant product and or technology experience regarding the Responsibility/ Activities (listed above) for automotive electronics serial development projects (mandatory) Significant experience in Automotive Customer Projects Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ for 16 bit and 32 bit micro-controllers including application and low level drivers for multiple micro-controllers such as PPC microcontrollers, ARM Core, or DSP Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field Understanding about Radar system (FMCW and PMCW) and Radar signal processing (etc. beam forming, CFAR, etc.) Understanding about systematic Radar artefacts like multipath, ghost reflections, micro doppler, etc. Background in mathematics, signal, radar processing preferred Advanced knowledge in environmental testing and procedures Knowledge of embedded software development in C/C++ for 16 bit and 32 bit micro-controllers including application and low level drivers for multiple micro-controllers such as PPC microcontrollers, ARM Core, or DSP Knowledge of ISO 26262 and Automotive Spice process Experience with failure analysis techniques (FMEA, FTA, ...) is a plus Proficient experience in C/C++ compilers and Lauterbach Debuggers Proficient experience with CAN based tools such as CANalyxer, CANoe or CANape Proficient knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel) Proficient knowledge in ADTF and ROS/ROS2 environment Knowledge in Mathworks based tools (Matlab, Simulink) Knowledge in Python scripting language Knowledge in design tools like Enterprise Architect Knowledge of analysis and engineering tools such as version control/configuration management, UML tools, static code check tools Benefits Collegial, supportive and friendly working atmosphere with a "Duz" culture Attractive and performance-oriented compensation package Prospects and opportunities for personal and professional development through various training offers Individual work arrangements through flexible working hours and opportunities to use "Office Work" and "Mobile Work" personally Corporate benefits program International and diverse environment and open door culture
