Our investment strategy is based on two pillars: Structured and focused deal origination (outbound/inbound) within the specified investment themes (“PPP”) as well as structured bolt-on acquisitions in the existing portfolio companies. We apply an active and holistic approach to create value along the dimensions Strategy, Execution, and Talent.The investment holding organization is structured along three investment teams and selected governance and support functions. With a Net Asset Value of approx. EUR 4.5bn, the current portfolio consists of six business units, generating an EBITA of approx. EUR 300m and employing almost 20,000 people, providing a solid basis for further acquisitions. Now we are looking for an INVESTMENT ANALYST / ASSOCIATE (m/f/d) 1. INVESTMENT PROCESSSupport during the entire transaction process, from identification to deal closing, especially business understanding, company valuation and process managementStrategic analysis of potential investment fields and acquisition targetsSupport in the definition of a clear investment and value creation thesis2. ACTIVE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENTSupport in the development of a clear strategy and value creation plan for existing the portfolio companies, including bolt-on M&AContinuous financial performance monitoring in close alignment with CFO of respective companyOngoing review of value creation plan executionKEY INTERFACESDay-do-day interaction with the investment team (partner, director/manager)Close collaboration with value accelerating experts (operational excellence, digital, sustainability, talent)Regular interaction with the management of portfolio companiesMinimum of 3 years working experience within family or private equity, investment banking or strategy consultingExceptional degree from a recognized university or business school (or equivalent) combined with sound knowledge in the area of finance and strategyFluent German and EnglishStrong business acumen and the ability to develop a holistic understanding of business models, strategies, markets and competitionHigh competence in financial modelling, company valuation  and performance reviews Being familiar with M&A processes and value creationStrive for continuous personal developmentReadiness to run the extra mile and enthusiasm to work in a high-performance teamHands-on mentality and results-oriented approachEnthusiasm about the Haniel purpose, mission and vision, and the ambition to drive Haniel’s future as a team playerChallenging and diverse tasksHigh degree of autonomy, self-responsibility and freedom to actExposure to senior stakeholders and flat hierarchiesFast track career opportunitiesStrong company values , embodying mission (“Building sustainable businesses for a future worth living”)Open, friendly and fun team environment
