This was not only the launch of a completely new product, in fact it was the birth of a totally new product category. As Legal Counsel Data Privacy, you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities, including providing legal advice to HQ Business and Legal stakeholders on complex global data privacy, digital marketing and e-commerce related initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of Red Bull’s global data privacy and compliance strategy. You’ll assist with knowledge sharing and the monitoring of privacy developments and shall provide key privacy trainings for the company and the global legal team.Areas that play to your strengths All the responsibilities we'll trust you with: LEGAL ADVICE You’ll provide contractual advice to relevant HQ business and legal stakeholders and provide hands on legal support for complex international data privacy matters on day-to-day business initiatives. IMPLEMENTATION OF GLOBAL DATA PRIVACY COMPLIANCE FRAMEWORK You´ll support the implementation of Red Bull’s global Data Privacy Compliance Framework (standards, guidelines, templates, processes, etc) and proactively monitor privacy developments. DOCUMENTATION, KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND TRAININGS You´ll work on updating existing and introducing new data privacy compliance documentation, advising develop and conduct trainings and concepts and drive knowledge sharing within the organization.Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role: Minimum 4+ years of combined, relevant experience in international law firms and/or in-house legal departments. Solid knowledge of data privacy law, e-commerce, marketing and consumer protection law and experience in providing pragmatic and actionable advice to various stakeholders on various legal risks and obligations under relevant privacy laws (including GDPR, e-privacy laws). Experience driving, prioritizing, and effectively managing cross-functional initiatives, and an ability to work both independently and with large multi-stakeholder teams Sharp analytical and communication skills, are diligent, proactive, collaborative, and have demonstrated excellent legal and business judgment and strategic thinking (including fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance) Excellent organizational skills and process-oriented, with a well-structured working style Law degree from reputable university + postgraduate degree (LLM) is a plus / CIPP/E or similar data privacy qualification Excellent command of German and English Travel 10% Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2.247 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
