R&D Project Manager (m/w/d)

In this role, you will be working with the multidisciplinary project team to develop new products and manage technology projects for filtration products, extending and improving John Crane Indufil's product portfolio. Your tasks will also include technology scouting, creating tools, setup and running of tests, prototyping and high-level engineering support. Duties & Responsibilities Project Management Support the creation of new idea’s for the NPD and technology roadmap. Set up the project team, create project plan, determine budget and concept planning on the basis of technical specifications. Coordinate and prepare with PM and other functional leads the NPD gate presentations and deliverables. Direct the project team and monitor the milestones, the budget and schedule. Track down any anomalies, resolve them and/or adapt the project schedule. Maintain and communicate with stakeholders and teammembers on progress and deliverables. Design and Development Develop the products that have been designed in engineering documents, drawings etc. to create a parent file of new products that will serve as input for the engineers. Develop various product information and tools for the sales division and external parties/customers. Ensure that designed product conforms with legal requirements and standards and ensure that all relevant information is recorded in the dossier. Research and Development Further develop fundamental knowledge of filtration processes. Research innovations in filtration, scouting of new technologies. Write and publish knowledge documents (e.g. papers and training materials). Tests and Validation Independently set up tests and experiments to test and validate existing and/or new products. Analyse measurements and incorporate them in a report. Degree or Vocational qualification (e.g. State-certfied technical engineer), preferably in a technical subject. Experience with R&D activities and New Product Development methods is required. Experience in Project Management using planning tools such as MS Project. Spoken and written command of the English and German languages is required. Experience with the gas and oil industry preferred. Knowledge of Pressure Vessel Codes (ASME, PED, API, etc). Experience with 3D CAD design software (reading drafts). Analytical and technical problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques and technologies. Planning, organizing and project management skills. Ability to communicate technical and non-technical information effectively.
