The General Ledger Accountant is the backbone of KWS finances globally and working together with the Expert Hub and other General Ledger Teams. The function furthermore executes all transactional and knowledge-based general ledger processes, such as: general ledger postings, bank accounting, intercompany accounting, financial closing & statements, production & inventory accounting, asset accounting as well as group accounting. This job will be in full-time and located in Berlin. Your tasks: * Perform intercompany reconciliation and relevant adjustments. * Prepare financial statements & execute local closing according to IFRS and LOCAL-GAAP.* Work on operational activities within all General Ledger area regarding monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of GTC.* Prioritize efficiency of supply, volume of demand and optimized assortment (EVO).* Work closely with the General Ledger Teams, Accounts Receivable and Payables teams of the GTC and the Expert Hubs, to ensure that rules and guidelines are adhered and decisions reflect RGP's.* Execute stock reporting in on time in full.* Review and post corresponding, approved accruals per business area.* Preferably academic degree in Business Administration.* At least 3 or more years of experience in the field of Accounting.* Fluent in English and German is a must. Die Stelle wird in Vollzeit besetzt. Durchführung der Intercompany-Abstimmung und relevanter Anpassungen. Sie bereiten Finanzberichte vor und führen lokale Abschlüsse gemäß IFRS und LOCAL-GAAP durch. Arbeit an operativen Aktivitäten innerhalb des gesamten Hauptbuchbereichs in Bezug auf Monats-, Quartals- und Jahresabschlüsse der GTC. Priorisieren der Effizienz des Angebots, des Nachfragevolumens und des optimierten Sortiments (EVO). Vorzugsweise akademischer Abschluss in Betriebswirtschaft. Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Buchhaltung. Fließendes Englisch und Deutsch. Around 6.000 employees represent KWS in more than 70 countries.As an Accounts Payable Accountant (m/f/d) in the Global Transaction Center at KWS in Berlin, you are responsible to deliver successful Accounts Payable services to our Italian speaking legal entity. This role collaborates with the respective Team Coordinator and Team Lead. It is a full-time position starting with the next possible date. You are responsible for: Processing incoming invoices and credit notes with and without Purchases Orders (using SAP & xFlow), Coding of invoices and credit notes with General Ledger accounts, Conducting payments (payment runs & manual payments), A clear and service-oriented communication with our suppliers, Managing requests such as tickets and dunnings, Clearing supplier accounts including open items, Taking care of travel expense review and approval (with SAP Concur) and clearing of credit cards, Ensuring payments on time, Reviewing and improving our processes by delivering your input, Collaborating with different departments to be successful. Show your strengths: Completed apprenticeship or academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or similar, First experiences in Finance, preferably in Accounting, Fluent Italian and English is mandatory (verbally and in written), Knowledge in SAP or xFlow are an advantage, A good understanding of Accounting processes, especially with regards to processing incoming invoices, Organized and able to work on different tasks in a structured and time-oriented way, Good communication skills and a cooperative working style. This job will be unlimited and in full-time. About KWS Your tasks: You ensure the delivery of transactional accounts payable services & take charge of processing the received incoming documents and initiate payments of invoices, expenses and dunning letters. Moreover, you perform the reconciliation of vendor statements and solve upcoming discrepancies and process high-volume purchase invoices and credit notes including the general ledger coding. You reconcile credit card and corporate travel accounts as well as manage vendor payments to ensure we honor payment terms. In addition, you ensure all queries are resolved, analyze and validate routine expenditure, including expenses. You will also work with other finance teams to streamline processes and procedures. You have good communication skills & a team spirit. You are flexible when prioritizing work & multi-tasking. Understanding of general ledger, including coding AP invoices, fixed assets and inter-company recharges Your profile: You have a completed apprenticeship or an academic degree in Business Administration/Economics/Finance/equivalent. Moreover, you have first experience in the field of Finance - especially in Accounting. Experience in working in an international Shared Service organization is an advantage. You can meet tight deadlines and manage high volume transactions with high customer orientation & extraordinary service attitude.
