Collins Aerospace in Heidelberg supplies integrated navigation and communications systems for a wide range of military applications and is a global leader in satellite reaction wheel technology. We are redefining aerospace.Principal Program Manager (m/f/d), EuMEA Fighter, Trainer and German Military Helicopterspermanent positionIn this role you will lead the Integrated Project Team (IPT) through the life cycle tenets of Collins’ Management System. Accountable for the full lifecycle of programs, products and services from inception through completion and renewal, inclusive of pursuit and order capture, design and development, produce to deliver, service/support, and long-term strategic business plans. As the lead of the IPT, is accountable for managing the lifecycle, cost, schedule, performance and on-time delivery of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Serves as the face of the organization to customers. Has customer satisfaction and financial responsibility for EuMEA Fighter, Trainer and German Military Helicopters business. Oversees overall operational performance and success. Responsible for the accountability of the workforce in organizational operations and customer projects. This role is a replacement of the current job holder who will retire in 2021. The position shall be filled in autumn 2020 to ensure a proper hand-over through a temporal overlap. Job Responsibilities:Leads teams of value stream leaders, workforce planning and organizational development initiatives: Talent Management; Performance Management; Change Management; Training; Assist in the Integration of Acquisitions Accountable for entire performance of the assigned value stream (including Profit and Loss) and influences matrixed IPTs decision making. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs / projects or subsystems of major programs/projects: Direct specific phases of programs/projects from inception through completion Leads decision making for the IPTs and applying critical thinking where incomplete data exists Owns the establishment and execution of long-term plan (e.g., more than 3 years) and operational direction – SFP / LRP Owns the establishment and execution of short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years) – AOP Develops internal and external networks and effectively communicates and motivates a team Has strong knowledge of the customer to assist with addressing challenges due to unforeseen circumstances Has a deep knowledge of the related market and can react on market trends and dynamics Ability to influence and negotiate elements with appropriate customers to achieve and/or exceed enterprise commitments while improving customer satisfaction Established high level OEM / customer relationships Communicates vision to their IPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function, as well as connects how the vision fits within the Aerospace market. Ability to communicate with senior executive leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization Applying ACE and the lead of system improvements for the Management System Bring a pan-organizational view, with both strategic and financial priorities, and apply this to a broad set of IPTs that are facing constraints and lead them to successa technical university degree, for example in engineering, with at least 5 years of relevant experienceBusiness fluent in German and English language in speech and writing Deep understanding of the Collins Management System Understanding of the Fighter, Trainer, Helicopter industry and customers is an advantage Experience with program baseline scope management and financial management Negotiations skills Ability to establish strong internal and external network leadership experience is required Solution-oriented and independent working method Excellent communication skills Willingness to travel (about 30 %)Join our multicultural team and work with people from different countries Flexible working times, opportunity to work in Home Office, 30 days of vacation Industry-specific pay Company sponsored pension plan Corporate health management Internal and external training opportunities to promote the continuous learning and development of our employees Global career opportunities at over 300 sites worldwide
